I have not posted here since November of 2016, even though I continued to do sound design at Montgomery Theater. But here's the reason I'm making a post now: I completed my last sound design, and other general tech work, at the theater during the final production of 2025.
During the first week of December 2025, I was informed that my contract was not being renewed for 2026. I'm no longer part of the tech team at Montgomery Theater.
So, in various places, I've updated my work history to reflect that I am a former Sound Designer / General Theater Tech. I worked at Montgomery Theater from November 2005 through December 2025 (20 years and 2 months). I don't think I'll look for other theater work. I completed my Master of Divinity in 2024, and started doing on-call chaplain work in 2025. Therefore, it might be best to fully focus on the career change that started after I left my last corporate gig in early 2019.
