Jerold Franks | Casting Director Visits Philly (Feb 4 - 6)

Jerold Franks, Past President of the Casting Society of America, is paying a visit to Philadelphia during the weekend of February 4, 5, and 6th, 2005.

Franks, a multi television and feature film Award winner and most recent Golden Globe nominee, is well recognized as one of the country's leading Casting Directors, actor's advocate, and teacher confirmed his workshop in Philadelphia. The workshop is part of Franks' book tour with his 2005 revised edition of So You Wanna Be An Actor...Act Like One. Profits from this year long tour are shared with the Actor's Fund of America, the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, and the Pat Tillman Foundation.

Following his Hawaii casting of ABC's hit show and Golden Globe nominated "LOST", Franks returned to the mainland to continue to guide actors. "To teach is to touch a life forever" Franks' says.. "I love ctor's and love teaching and trying to guide these kids in the right direction. It's tough out there and getting even toughter in the 21st century.

"There are so many projects in New York and regionally in the Philadelphia area that Casting Directors are always looking for new regional actors with whom to work. "......continuing to consult with Daytime Network soap operas in New York and Los Angeles, I'm always on the lookout for new faces".

Franks' hired several actor's in Saban Entertainment's highly acclaimed feature film 'Blind Vision' - starring Louise Fletcher and Ned Beatty which was filmed in Virginia Beach.
