"Cave Dwellers" at Allen's Lane Art Center

My friend Natasha Kelly is performing in a production of "Cave Dwellers," a play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright William Saroyan. It opened last weekend, but there are still two weekends of shows remaining.

"Cave Dwellers" at Allen's Lane Art Center

"Cave Dwellers" follows the story of a crumbling theater slated for demolition as it provides temporary shelter to an eclectic group of poverty-stricken performers (including a bear) who are seeking refuge from the bitter cold. The poetry of their hope creates a warm bond among these strangers as they negotiate an indifferent world with dignity and grace. In this bittersweet, heartwarming fable, survival has nothing to do with avoiding the wrecking ball.
